How long does the treatment take?
Most treatments take around 6 to 18 months but it depends on the severity of your teeth misalignment. If you do not wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours, you may have to wear them longer than initially expected. What should I expect during a clear aligner treatment?
  1. You will get a detailed overview of what to expect for your specific case during your first consultation.
  2. If you do decide to proceed with treatment, our team will use an intraoral scanner and produce a 3D image of your teeth. These images are what the lab will use to create your custom-fitted aligners.
  3. When your aligners are ready (after a few weeks), you will come back to our office to receive them. Most patients get all their aligner sets at once.
  4. Your doctor will let you know how long you have to wear each aligner (usually 2 weeks). We will schedule check-ups so we can monitor your teeth and make sure they are moving properly.
  5. After all the aligners have been worn our team will evaluate if further refinement is needed. If there is, you may be given a few more aligners so you can achieve your dream smile.
